I was walking through the snow in deep midwinter
深冬雪地 我穿梭跋涉其中
And the moon was casting shadows on the ground

I was following a siren through the forest
追寻林中的女妖
She never made a sound
生性孤僻的她 从未发出声音
Saw the glimmer of Orion through the treetops
透过树梢 闪现猎户座的微光
It got colder as I ventured ever deeper in the night
夜越深渐冷 我不畏寒意 依旧前进
She would vanish for a moment in the hollow
她会在空地消失一瞬
Only to reappear
而后再次出现
I never knew her name
我从未知晓她的名字
So I did not call her
也便未曾呼唤过她
I couldn’t see her face
看不清她的面庞
I could only wonder
唯有猜想
In the distance I could hear a church bell ringing
远处传来教堂钟声
It was telling me to turn and go back home
呼唤我 快回家去
I will think of her when gazing in the fire
独守炉火前 我会想起她
Warming my hands alone
我的双手渐渐暖和起来
And maybe she’ll be there
也许明天同一时刻
At the same time tomorrow
她便会现身
I’ll take a lantern though
我将提上灯笼追寻
There’s no footsteps to follow
却没有丝毫足迹可循
